Our Architect Associate, James Dacre, presented a guest lecture at Sheffield Hallam University as part of the undergraduate architecture series on ‘Design for Biodiversity’.
James firstly spoke on our design for a Passivhaus Plus dwelling in a disused quarry. This dwelling has been designed with our ecologists to achieve a biodiversity net gain despite the ecologically rich site containing multiple priority habitats. He also shared our design for a maternity roost bat barn for brown long-eared bats (for more information click here) and other bat mitigation structures.
